Making Netscape 6/7 Chime ready on Windows (unofficial way)

MDL Chime© Plugin does not officially support Netscape 6.x e 7.0 (see here officially supported browsers by Chime).
However, tests conducted in our lab did show that it is possible to make SMS 2.3 fully-functional with Chime for Netscape 6.x/7.0.
In other words, one can use SMS 2.3 with Chime in Netscape 6.x and 7.0 if the following procedure is applied:
The installation script of Chime does not recognize presence of Netscape 6.x/7.0, resulting in failed Chime installation.
Here is how you can overcome this problem:

1 - Download MDL Chime Plugin (SP3 or SP4 !!!)

2 - Install normally Netscape 6.x/7.0 on your computer.(There is no need to un-install older version of Netscape).

3 - Rename exe file for netscape 6 (netscp6.exe) or netscape 7 (netscp.exe) to netscape.exe

4 - Initiate normally installation of MDL Chime Plugin. When window shown bellow appears, select "Specify the location of a web browser".

5 - On the window shown bellow, click on "Browse" and select path where netscape.exe file is located. (Normally at c:\program files\netscape\netscape)

6 - Window as shown bellow should appear. Click at "Next" and initiation of the plugin should start.

Windows XP and Windows 2000 do allow for renaming exe file for Netscape. The Netscape 6.x/7.0 icon on your desktop (as in fig. A bellow) might appear as in fig. B).
If this happens, you can delete shortcut (B) and create it again so that it assumes desired form (fig. A).
